Jessica Heisey has been attending Lighthouse since July of 2012, and when our facility is open she is an active participant in the Strengthening Pathways program. Jessica enjoys water coloring, coloring and working on Math-U-See Kits. She likes the baking and cooking activities and especially enjoys taste testing the food afterwards! Jessica currently receives in-home support while Lighthouse's facility-based programs are shut down.
At home you will find Jessica taking walks, swinging in the backyard, playing air hockey, throwing ball, coloring, or listening to her Mom read books. She loves spending time with family, especially her Grandma and her brothers and sister and their kids. Jessica likes to swim in her brother’s swimming pool and loves going on family vacations to the beach.
Jessica has grown tremendously in the past 8 years at Lighthouse, especially in developing focus and staying on task both at Lighthouse and home. Jessica’s mother, Linda, is grateful that Lighthouse is a friendly, Christian environment with staff that truly care about the participants. She appreciates the variety of jobs and activities such as the Music Room, Art Program, Sensory Room and Cooking in the newly renovated kitchen. She is also thankful for the 1:1 interaction and the opportunity for Jessica to have a rich social life with her friends at Lighthouse.
We are blessed to have Jessica's unique abilities and personality as a part of our program - and look forward to seeing what new things she creates.
